Design details

The flange between the manifold and the up-pipe is a V-band which means there is no gasket in that area to fail which is a common problem when you start to tune the EJ engine. It is also critical that the flanges are perfectly aligned before the clamp is fully tightened to seal the joint.

Important fitment information

V-band assemblies do not use a gasket and therefore will require a light smear of high temp RTV silicone to establish a gas tight seal. This can be very tight to the sump on some models and occasionally requires the sump to have a minor modification or you can just fit the twin scroll sump.

It not essential but you can heat wrap the manifold for further performance gains. Made from Stainless Steel.
