Subaru LEGACY OUTBACK BP9 EJ25 16 Row Oil Cooler Kit, 03/10->09/05

Fitting an additional oil cooler to an engine helps to prolong engine life and reliability by maintaining optimal oil operating temperature. To ensure the oil doesn’t lose its lubricating properties, it needs to be kept under 145 degrees C.
This kit is supplied with 4-metres of AN-10 black nylon braided hose. We prefer this to the stainless braided hose because it’s easier to work with and does less damage if it rubs against anything on the vehicle. This is supplied with a 16-row cooler which is 25cm x 12.5cm x 5cm in dimensions. The 16 row is a nice cooler for smaller vehicles and engines where the engine isn’t going to be working too hard and there is restricted space to fit the cooler. If you want to upgrade, see our other listings where you will find larger cooler options and also shrouds with fans to force the air through the cooler.Supplied with this is a sandwich plate that fits under the oil filter on the engine. This diverts the oil through the cooler and spaces the filter around 20mm further out, so check that you have clearance here. On the sandwich plate are 2 x 1/8 NPT ports which can be used for turbo oil feeds or gauge sensors if required. There are 6 x AN-10 fittings with this kit. 2 x Straight, 2 x 45 Degree, 2 x 90 Degree, they are all the stronger forged type fittings and are anodized black. You will only require 4 of the 6 fittings, choose the ones that work best for you. With this plate 100% of the oil is constantly fed through the cooler, which makes it ideal for track cars.This kit fits the Subaru LEGACY OUTBACK BP9 EJ25 with years 03/10->09/05.These kits are not supplied with the mounting hardware to attach them to the vehicle. You will need to identify the best mounting location on your vehicle and fabricate the brackets to fit.
