19 Row Oil Filter Relocation Kit + HKS Filter for Mazda MX5 Mk1/2, 1.6 or 1.8
This kit allows you to relocate the oil filter to a more convenient location within the engine bay and adds a 19 Row cooler at the same time. Ideal for track cars which need lots of extra cooling, road going NA cars that have been fitted with a turbo or drift cars which spend lots of time at high RPM with very little front end air flow.
Once most oil gets over 300 degrees F it begins to loose it’s lubricating properties, this causes excessive engine wear and will eventually lead to engine failure. This cooler will help to prevent this problem. This cooler does not feature a thermostat and overcooling oil can also cause problems so it is best practice to fit an oil temp gauge to be sure, the sandwich plate in this kit has 2 x 1/8″ NPT ports which allows you to fit oil temp or/and oil pressure gauges. Blanking plugs are supplied if required.
The kit comes complete with a HKS oil filter to make sure you get the best filtration possible.
There is 4m of stainless steel braided hose supplied with the kit that can be cut to length, you will need a angle grinder or similar with a cutting disc to cut the hose to the desired length. If you have not fitted the aeroquip type fittings before it is probably a good idea to watch a Youtube video or two before attempting to fit them to the hose.
